god bless me.

tomorrow marks the start of a new semester. the second semester for my 3 years diploma course. it seem like yesterday i was mugging for the stupid 'O's. (well. to think back of it. its was pretty stupid.) and today i am already pretty much on track with everything.

i just freaked out badly. really really badly. i finally went to open my ngee ann mailbox after such a long time. and. whew.. nothing much inside. except some notice on safe blogging and a second hand textbook sale. who cares. but. later i opened mel. (mobile e-learning i think.) shit. hell is awaiting me next semester. i need to learn alot of technology stuff. i am actually quite interested. but. i am just afraid i wont be able to make it. cause technology really isnt my thing. but never mind. i am there to learn after all.

i would love to learn photoshop actually. i think it would be really fun editing some lame photos. there is this guitarist by the name of paul gilbert. i was just browsing through his website and i saw this page which featured some of his really interesting photoshop experiments. for example.

he got his head. his guitar. and his amp in. cool.~

ok. this one is just pure fun. i would really love to learn all this.

photos taken from:http://www.paulgilbert.com/Photoshop.html

anyway. talking about guitar related stuff. the new G3 concert is out. and its really new. cause it just happened back in may. i thought it was last year. but no. its this year's concert. G3 live in tokyo. well. its tokyo yet AGAIN. lots of rock concert are filmed in japan tokyo. be it instrumental or band and kinda stuff. Japo people love rock music absolutely.

and its little wonder why these ang-mo musicians (including steve vai) love to go there and play. almost every show is a sold-out. and i think most importantly they are a great audience to play to. they cheer. and they know when to keep quiet. they are just great. and alot of rock guys owe their success to the japan market to a certain extent . people like paul gilbert. bands like mr big. dreamtheater.

this years G3 features john petrucci other than the usual steve vai and joe satriani. john petrucci is an amazing guy. he has got frightening fast fingerworks. every note is precise and to the point. and the band that he is in- Dreamtheater. plays real music. very inspiring. i have been hoping to find their video html code. but. no luck.

ok. so. the thing today is. school starts tomorrow. and dont really feel anything. this is strange.

soccer hurts. office work hurts more.

the biggest toe on my left leg hurts like shit now. its tearing inside. i just finish playing street soccer with my workmates just now. i played keeper for a few games and the ball hit me all over.

1. the ball hit my genital area. i swear girls dont understand how it feels when guys get hit in the genital area. you will feel like..... its just a really awful feeling. you wish you are a girl. ouch.

2. than the ball hit my stomach. but. no worries for that. i accumulated enough fats at this area to take care of such a blow.

3. the ball came. i stretched out my long legs to try to block it. shit. only abit of the toe managed to touch it. and it sort of cracked or something. hurts like shit now.

i remember myself as a soccer person in my primary school days. we play all kind ball available.

1. soccer ball. (luxury item. usually need to try very very hard to convince a friend to bring their soccer ball to school. we would ask papa and mama for a new ball as birthday present.)

2. tennis ball. (the best ball to play with actually. small and portable. fit easily into pocket. the DM wouldnt see it easily. and its just nice for our small legs.)

3. ping-pong ball. (the last ever desperate resort. when the person supposed to bring the ball pangseh. we would kick his ball first and get him to buy ping-pong ball from the bookshop. but. step on it and it would crush. nvm. 20 cents only. buy another one. actually 20 cents also quite alot....)

4. bottle-cap. (the extreme. someone pangseh didnt bring ball. the group decide to play ping-pong ball. the group plays aggressively and all the ping-pong balls are smashed. we spent every cent.... it simply tells us how much we love to play soccer. anyway. the happiest person should be the bookshop auntie..)

at secondary school. i stopped playing soccer. cause every bit of energy is used for running. and soon i lost the touch. but. never mind. its all about making friends.

Joel is cooking. I am eating.

wow. i always knew Joel work as a cook. but. i have never tasted his cooking before. till yesterday. we went to collect some stuff. and after that i decided to follow him to his working place for a bite. and he is the one cooking because he will be the only one in the kitchen.

yea. its this small cafe called 'the outsider' located at tanglin mall. notice joel. the person at the extreme left. preparing food for me. the customer. so. i took his advice and ordered 'finding dory'. which he is still perfecting apparently. i think they either ran out of nemo or they are just playing around with the copyright.
i am sure it aint dory. dory is blue. anyway. it tasted not bad at all.! i love the butter rice. its damn nice. but joel didnt cook it... the salad was nice too. joel prepared it. the fish is nice. but joel gave me a generous spoon of chilli which i dont take. but. good job joel. your cooking can be compared to my mum.
k. next joel cooked me this toast thingy. i was half way through it when i remember i forgot to take a picture. it just goes to show how nice it is. yea. abit oily. but. nvm.
k. so Joel is cooking. next time you are at orchard. cant think of anywhere to eat. take a bus or walk down to tanglin mall. you may be the next one joel is cooking for.!

Introducing Mr. Big.!

from left to right:
Billy Sheehan- the most amazing bassist i ever watched.
Pat Torpey- drummer
Eric Martin- he didnt seem to change abit for the last 20 years.
Paul Gilbert- he left the band halfway. and its just so different without him. one of the best guitarists present.

i got a new video hosted. its 'To Be With You' by mr.big. they are an amazing band. their songs are damn nice. and i really didnt realise that some of the songs we are all find so familiar are from them.

'To be with you'.
'Green-tinted sixties mind'

they have already disband. but. watching the stuff they did from the 80s is an equal thrill. they are the real rock band. all the bands we have now. like simple plan. sum 42. or 41.? they are.. nvm. they got some nice songs too.

its another hole.

i really really cannot image the idea of getting a piercing at the tongue. the tongue is so soft. so slimy. how the hell do you pierce a hole there.? it must be very very painful. and i dont think it look cool at all.

i always like to imagine the amount of pain something or rather some particular action can bring along. for example.

1. slitting the throat.
i think its the worst way possible to die. the sharp blade brush through the adam apple. and its split into half. one most probably wont die immediately. so you will see the blood squirt out in a stream right under your eyes. you cant tie a piece of cloth on your neck to stop the bleeding as you will die out of breath. shit. its a sure die thing. and its freaking painful.

2. woman dying of hard labour.
though i would never have to give birth to any children. unless technology improves like crazy. i think giving birth is one of the most painful act human and engage in. and its a natural process. i believe we are sinners. anyway. my great-grandma gave birth to her children in the pig sty once a upon a time ago. i think she had to suffer 3 days of labour pain before she gave birth to her 3 child. so. all mothers all great. salute them.!

3. atomic bomb.
i consider myself lucky if a die straight forward. or els. the skin peel off slowing. the eyeballs melt. carpets of hair drop off. and you still dont die. how damn painful can it ever get man.

4. fire/heat.
i am sure we have all been hurted by the fire or kinda thing before. its just such a small patch and it hurts like shit. i cant imagine those 50% burnt. better off with god.

5. trampling.
occasional news of this kinda freak incidents happen in those less developed countries. something happen. thousands. or even more hurry towards the small exit door. some people fall to the ground and never get up. so poor thing. can you imagine falling to the ground and never getting another second chance to get up just because you got more people stepping over you from behind. your lungs. heart. whatever organ get step over and over again.

ok. this is getting nowhere. breakfast today was damn good casue mum cooked it.

Introducing mr Eric Johnson.!

you may not have heard of steve vai's song before. you go wtf when the name andy timmions pop up. is joe satriani alien or what.?

but. you must have heard pieces from eric johnson before. because one of his most famous piece 'Cliffs of Dover' was used in an advertisment before. everyone will find the melody familar. i wish i can catch him life in singapore. guitarists dont always come to singapore. they come they go. and most probably they are never going to be back again. the market is just simply too small.

eric johnson's playing is very clean. accurate. and melodic. he is one of the BEST improviser. but. he aint really talented as a performer though. he got no expression. he doesnt take off his shirt. he doesnt smash his fender strat.

i am feeling giddy. i am feeling sick. i just puked.

the new semester is starting really really soon for me. and its freaking me out. its like this. it always been like this since my primary school days. after a relatively long holiday. i would feel absolutely reluctant to go back to school. it sucks.

my muscles would than start to ache. my head feels giddy. i feel sick. i will puke in the morning when mum wakes me up. anyway. all these sickness will ball as the days progress. (i sense faulty parallellism. but. nvm. its my blog.)

talking about blogs. i think blogs are really interesting. you kinda get to know a person better just by simply seeing his or her blog. there is no way one can escape this. the blogskin tells you something. the content tells you something.

i must have been possessed by some unknown spirits just now. (i dont usually read her blog) i was reading xiaxue's blog. anyway. guess who i saw.? i saw a classmate at her blog. anyway. we all know they are friends. actually. i like what she says. but. her pictures really turn me off. especially when she shows off her new contact lens colour.

anyway. talking about blogs. 2 of my friends blog are my favourites.

Rachel. -->

Yongxin. -->

i admit i am hum-chi.i dont dare to say everything and anything i want to say about someone in my space. as i dont wish to offend any people. friends. but. some content really piss me off.

fuck off Jen. you suck.

i am so sorry...

i am so sorry to nat and jasmine.

i was absolutely free today and would love to go window shopping at guitar heaven. but. i just didnt take note of my phone for the whole day.

so sorry. cya guys on wednesday.

mum say i got bad bad eyes.

there are quite a couple of items i really wish i can own. this ball is the powerball. its damn fun to play. the purpose of this ball is to train your hand. you are suppose to spin it and spin it. and physics will take care of the rest. its damn fun. damn challenging. cause its really difficult to get the bloody ball spinning. and you feel like you done a whole day of weights after just 5 mins of spinning.

according to the inventor. "The Powerball spins in excess of 15,000rpm, generating up to 20kg of resistance. It helps to develop huge strength in the arms, wrists and fingers."

wow. maybe. my hands will be damn strong after playing with it. and maybe. i can be all the barre stuff on the fretboard effortlessly.

Price: 60.00 SDG....

i got no comments for this. i just want it.

Price: 350.00 SDG.?

i may seem like i got many guitars. but. actually. not at all. i can still count them within a hand. i got 2 classical. one is given to me. its a yamaha classical guitar. the sound is not bad. its sounds pretty mellow and seasoned. i like the sound. but. the tuning head is getting a little too loose for comfort. the second classical guitar is a suzuki classical guitar. i bought it this year for 60 bucks. its playable. but the sound it quite shitty.

cheap guitars arent made of good wood. they may be made of plywood. i think that suzuki fretboard is made of plastic. thus the sound is artifical. i also got an acoustic guitar. but. that is not really mine. my sis bought it a few years back when she is supposed to learn to play guitar with some friends. well. thanks to her. i found out that i actually can play guitar.

the last guitar. the latest one would be my Ibanez electric guitar. its just damn cool. but. i got no idea how to play electric guitar yet. its damn freaking difficult.

i saw a really nice guitar when i went over to JB a couple of weeks ago. i think i will. i think i wont. i dont know if i will add it to my collection.

Price: the more money i have the better.

school is starting really soon. as usual since primary 1. some shopping is inevitable before school starts.

conclusion: money aint everything. but. alot of things= money.

Host The Music Loaded. (HTML)

i got a video for my blog. it 'more than words' by extreme. its a nice song with very simple yet beautiful guitar background music. but. this is certainly not my first choice of video to host on my space. i tried to search for some guitar instrumental stuff. but. cant find any at all.

this html thing is damn amazing. well. actually the whole technology thing these days all are damn freaking hell amazing.

1. infra pictures from phone to laptop.
dont you think its freaking amazing. a picture can be sent from one source to another with even the two sources connecting to each other. wow.

2. ripping music.
i go to the school library to borrow a CD. the library auntie tells me in a friendly tone.

'this CD can only borrow for 2 hours.'

i look at her. i smile and say. 'i only need a couple of 2 minutes.'

3. wireless connection.
what the hell is in the air or atmosphere when the wireless connection is on man.? the whole of ngee ann is wireless enabled. all my classmates and i know we are all frying our brain everyday. i am not suprised if ngee ann students got higher rate of cancer next time. its also the reason why i dont like the idea of making the house wireless. i believe its damn unhealthy to our cells and everything.

4. the camera phone.
the whole phone technology in general. just ten years ago. my dad spent 700 bucks on a 'water-bottle' look alike phone. now. camera phone takes rocking clear photo. who the hell needs to buy ko-ni-ka films.? no more camera in future. only digital camera phones.

5. slim slim Television sets.
i always give man the benefit of the doubt. when harvey norman is playing 'swimsuit illustrated' on that super nice. super slim. plasma tv set. i believe they are looking at the design of the tv. and not the model rubbing lotion on herself. ahem.

ok. the technology list goes on and on. i and going out to do some shopping now. bye.

come on. its just another ball.

humans are always and constantly curious. we like to explore. discover. and most importantly. be the 1st. to know about or try out new stuff. we are always asking questions. questioning ourselves. mother nature. and god.

and some people are damn amazing. they look up into the sky. they see a circular thing that blind their eye. they give it a name and called it the sun. than they started thinking. because they see the sun move across the big blue sky as time pass by. is the sun turning revolving around them.? yea. should be. its logical. but. a few people can come up with the rubbish theory that its the earth we are staying in that is revolving around the sun.

and it turn out to be true....

but. how the hell did they find out.? they did calculation and all kind of shit. but. how is it possible.? i think i know why.

tyco.

i used to be very amazed by the solar system. reading about those cool planets and kinda stuff. especially saturn. it got a very nice ring around it. very cool.~ and pluto. so small. loser. but as i grew up. i think these are all rubbish. i believe alot of these information are not really confirmed yet and new discoveries are being made everyday. one thing i believe is that there are other universe other than the one we are living in. maybe we will proceed there when we die. maybe.

so many things are happening on earth. so many people are still starving. so many people are freezing to death. so many kids are deprived of education. money can be injected to help them. yet billions and billions are spent instead on sending a bunch of people onto space. and onto the moon. so what if we find water there.? are we going to drink from there.?

i read this from somewhere. i think is moppy's blog. and think he made a really good point. we assume there is possibility of lifeform on mars when we found water there. ever wondered aliens dont need to drink water to survive.?

come on man. they just need to breathe argon.

we are cool. we are from....

my class in poly is T108. that is for the first semester. i just read that i will be changing class next semester. it will become T103.

hm. i am not happy at all to change class. my previous class when i was in CJ used to be 1T08. so being in T108 for poly actually does mean alittle something for me. i really miss my CJ first three months days. i dare say i spent my happiest 3 months ever in school at that period of time. the whole class is so united. so well-bonded. so fun.

actually. i miss Kai the most. Kai is this girl that would laugh like crazy whenever she feels like it. i miss her laughters. i feel happy from the inside when she laughs.

never mind. i believe T103 will be just as cool. its the people that make the class. not the class that make the people anyway.

1+1=2. what els.?

maths is something i absolutely hate in my life. i question the study of maths all the time. from primary 'not sure when'. maths seem alittle too difficult for me to understand. i remember myself not understand miss anita's lesson on how to do those division question. she would explain and explain....

i would listen and listen.
i would concentrate and concentrate.
i would absorb and absorb.
i would nod and nod.

and. ultimately. i simply dont understand. but. clever me. i am able to give that clever look as though i understand. till. she call me out to the blackboard. shit. die. how to do ar.? *anyway. miss anita died at the age of 20+ the next year because of a burst blood vessel. in school. or rather she burst it in school and died on the way to the hospital. she is the kind of teacher that would get very stressed. i think i contributed a tiny bit. but. hope she rest in peace.* amen.

i am slow. but. certainly not stupid. i just take some time to get it. time passes. and PSLE comes. wow. got to solve 15 problem sums within (i forgot how long). but. its damn challenging. especially those 5 marks question. i hated it.!!!!

we got to draw models. draw speed time time. all those shit. i remember myself being part of the intensive maths remedial group. its like the Intensive Care Unit. anyway. i got my A for PSLE. i am not stupid wad....

sec 1 and sec 2. aiya. honey-moon la. who cares. my algebra sucks to the core. streaming came. and once again i am in the ICU unit. and once again. i managed to pull through and i got to take Amaths in upper secondary. which was a big problem. how the hell am i going to pull through amaths.? actually. the question is how the hell i am going to pull through sec 3.? ok. take a look at my results.

k. i am actually not done with my blog entry. but. something just pissed me off. i am getting out of the house now. fucking off.

the self-fulfilling prophecy thingy.

i came across this 'what does your birthday mean' thing on rachel's blog and gave it a try. i think its quite accurate.

Your Birthdate: January 15

With a birthday on the 15th of any month, you are apt to have really strong attachments to home, family and domestic scene.
The 1 and 5 equaling 6, provide the sort of energy that makes you an excellent parent or teacher.
You are very responsible and capable.

This is an attractive and an attracting influence.
You like harmony in your environment and strive to maintain it.
You tend to learn by observation rather than study and research.

You may like to cook, but you probably don't follow recipes.
This number shows artistic leanings and would certainly support an talents that may be otherwise in your makeup.
You're a very generous and giving person, but perhaps a bit stubborn in ways.

well. other than the cooking part. (it says 'may' anyway) and the makeup part. (well. i got my own other artistic leanings) i think the other points it made are all quite reflective of me.

i am one person that believe in all this horoscope and fengsui kind of thing. i think all these thinkings and calculation has got certain logic and sense behind them.

ok. i also think this next one is quite accurate.

Your Career Type: Artistic

You are expressive, original, and independent.
Your talents lie in your artistic abilities: creative writing, drama, crafts, music, or art.

You would make an excellent:

Actor - Art Teacher - Book Editor
Clothes Designer - Comedian - Composer
Dancer - DJ - Graphic Designer
Illustrator - Musician - Sculptor

The worst career options for your are conventional careers, like bank teller or secretary.

its actually quite a chore to do these test. i personally need a lot of courage. because you always hope that the result will turn out your way. i certainly wouldnt hope my career type turn out to be office work. i think i will just faint in front of the screen. however. when the results come out suiting me. i feel a great sense of relief. i feel like i am heading towards the correct direction in life. so. i think its really quite subjective.

maybe. the only thing that is accurate here is the theory of the self-fulfilling prophecy. but. who cares. as long as i am happy with the results.

Happy Birthday Ah Toon.!!!!

today is the 10th of october. its ah toon's birthday. how time flies. ah toon turns 3 years old today. i remember the first time i see her. she was still a 2 months old baby.

i bought a little bag for ah toon this time. actually. for the past 2 years she had been celebrating her birthday over at my house. but. this time since she is in a childcare. i would have to go over to bring her out. k. hope she likes she bag and that we would have a great time together later.

Happy 3 years old Ah toon.!

i watched ah toon grow up. from a baby to a little girl. i will continue to watch her grow her. dote on her. and hopefully she can always be happy and protected. love always.

peek a-boo.!

i believe god or whoever created everyone for something. everyone has a special talent inside him or her. its just that very often we dont realise it. but. if we find it and persue it. it will be our lifetime rice-bowl.

sometimes. we need circumstences to help us find out about hidden talent. for example. someone got involved in an accident. lost both arms. its only than he finds out he can draw with his legs. or els i dont think he will ever get to know he can actually draw with his legs or with his mouth. i think i am still searching for my hidden talent. or that person that is going to help me discover this hidden talent.

i am watching 'Guitar Wars' dvd. its so damn nice. i think the musical content is very rich. and paul gilbert really sort of changed his whole musical style. sometimes i wonder.

is the guitar or the piano the greatest instrument on earth.?

both are no doubt two of the most played instrument on earth. people have always said that the piano is the greatest of all instruments. i used to agree. but. now i beg to differ. i think the guitar is the greatest instrument on earth. i dare say the guitar is the most versatile instrument ever invented by man. one genre of expression piano can never do as well as the guitar would be hate. anger. and frustration.

technology has allowed all kinda of different musical expression to be played by the guitar. especially the electric guitar. but. the matter how complicated the notes are. how fast the fingerworks are. the greatest form of guitar music occurs when you sit down in a group holding simple acousitic guitar and start singing simple tunes and melody. this is the reason when i used to look forward to going to AJC as i always see people sitting down in groups holding guitar and singing. its such a nice chill. anyway. i used to go to AJC to train for track and field.

k. i got to go search for my hidden talent.

good stuff. want anot.?

update.

i went to JB with a few other classmates yesterday. we spent money there as though they are merely pieces of paper. we bought clothes and lots of DVDs. games. the most important thing for me is the eye-opening. this is actually the first time i am inside the 'secret room' of a stall selling pirated disc and stuff.

they got all the 'good stuff' inside. wah. the first time i ever seen so much porn vcds in my life. boxes and boxes of porn vcds everywhere. but. they are neatly sorted out neverthless. they are categorised into departments like. **according to the boss.**

western: all the white chicks.
japanese: all the innocent chicks. further divided into different groups. like pretty anot.
asian:......

okok. enough. boss. i am here to look for steve vai's concert. not all these VCDs. so. they got all the porn. you name it. they have it. but. not one of the shop got the steve vai latest live in london show. damn it.

but. nvm. we didnt come back empty handed too. joel and i came back with around 25 pieces of discs altogether. whao. so. the plan is i keep all the casing while joel will keep all the discs. it proved to be a good move. cause.

Mr Joel got stopped at the custom checkpoint.!!!! oh my god. i swear he turned pale. anyway. he told the officer everything was original and he was let to go. whew.... that was damn close. thanks to technology. even pira*** stuff got nice stickers on them. i think the most important thing is Joel had no 'good stuff' with him.

anyway. we are no longer going to do that ever again. we are going to ask for delivery service. yea.!

my stage.

i got this picture from the CJC guitar club blog. its a beautiful picure. i am in it.! this is actually the first time i am on the stage doing a performance along the 'art' side.

k. so. the promos have ended in CJ. think i am back to CJ again to play guitar really soon. yay.!
