no surprise.

its been 1 week since school started, and i am absolutely hating it.

i cant imagine myself working as a PR person next time, i just cant see myself pleasing different people everyday... sounds wrong right?

no wonder this stupid guy whom is on attachment told people that PR personnels are corporate prostitute... nice one.

every day at work is basically an effort to handle and please the company's various publics + the boss, i certainly see it as a sucky task.

well, going back to school after a relatively comfortable holiday has never been an easy task for me, guess i just need to chill a bit for the weekend and i am ready to take all the shit coming all over again.

i can rant and rant... but the fact is time is passing sooo fast, its week 10 already! or rather end of week 10. wow, its just 3/2 months more and we are off for 2 months again.

as usual, i will start making great plans for the holiday at this period of time just so that i got something to look forward to while slogging through all the work.

but when the holidays come... precious time is always wasted.

well, as usual i guess.

lord of the elements.

i used to assume that there are 2 elements which are present in every culture, or at least dominant cultures that i know of.

1. alcohol

2. music

after neglecting the fact that muslim dont consume alcohol, music becomes the only remaining element now.

its amazing how music is infused in every civilisation since who-the-hell-knows-when. i was watching this documentary at discovery that day and it featured this tribe which is soooo pre-historic... the population is still wearing animal fur and hunting with stones. yet the tribe's various instruments play some of the most amazing music.

i wonder how many songs are there in the world... yet different pieces are still being churned out as time passes by. the potential of the term 'music' is just simply infinite. or will there be one day we humans run out of tunes to compose?

that is probably the day the world ends and a whole new cycle of life at the most elementary level starts all over again.

all right. back to PR.

i am sorry!

there was this super over-weight dude in my class last time, back in catholic high. he didnt even have to join the TAF club because the club sort of gave up on him and referred him to professional. his weight was that bad... he is 1.82m accompanied with 120kg+ of mass. he is one huge piece of ass.

we would always joke that his family of 4 would add up to more than 500kg. since his brother is 130kg, his dad is also 100kg+ and his mum is close to 100kg. then we would pity his family's toyoto car.

when he changes in class for PE lessons, we would joke that its a free porn show; disgusting one.

we would joke about his G cups boobies.

we would joke about how buffet places would close down if the whole family dines there...

we would tell him that he stinks straight in the face.

we were basically very very god-damn mean. all right, i am sorry for being part of the above. i apologize in the most sincere manner.

last time, i would always wonder why he doesnt make the effort to slim down. we all know how unhealthy it is to be that obsese. but now that i am trying to shed a few kilos, i finally understand how difficult it is....

its little wonder why people believe in slim loss ads, cause its difficult to do it on your own. and one probably feels that technology may help the process become easier by vibrating the body fats with a simple machine instead of running a couple of clicks.

ok, healthy living is the way to go.

moderating to 60kg.

As of today...

Name: Tok Jiajie
Height: 1.75m
Weight: 66kg

Wah... 66kg. This has got to be the heaviest period in my life i am experiencing. ( sounds so wrong. but yea, no pun intended)

i remember i was 62 kg last time...

Ok, maybe its time i do something about it. But what’s done cant be undone...

it’s easier said than 'done' always... undone in this case.

But yea, i am going on a diet! To all my friends out there, render me all your support if you consider yourself as my friend.

However, i am still relatively optimistic about my present situation...

Well, relatively i would say...

*chubby face censored and no, i am not breathing in. i swear.

if you cant get the ball, get the player.

ghana showed the world another way to play soccer.

if you cant get the ball, get the player!

well, makes sense totally since the ball is played by the player.

this is a point of view worth considering in life. for example...

shit.. i cant think of any...

anyway, the FIFA offical website updates damn fast. the match just ended and everything was up already! though ghana won... i still think that the man of the match should be petr CECH. his side would have lost more if he didnt manage those couple of stunning saves.

the story of the bus journey.

i love the sofa at danial's place, its so comfy. but not so when i got to share it with my favourite-bitching-partner, both of us were trying to find the best position to snooze for a while after catching all 3 world cup matches the previous night/morning. but i had to wake up at 6am+ to catch the bus back so i can hop on bed as soon as possible and give my mum the illusion that i was home 'early'.

after walking the stretch along pasir ris park (keeping my eyes wide open, and turning my head back at any slightest rustle from behind. watching the park for any signs of 'kaka'...)

as i approached the bus-stop, my path converged with the arrival of bus service 39. wah, so lucky i thought to myself.

upon seeing the bus, i subconsciously clenched my left-hand, held it up and shook it lightly in front of my chest. i guess its too much of soccer actions these few days, but i was delighted by the bus timely arrival.

the bus was at a comfortable tepmerature, i sat down and started thinking to myself... i would have missed the bus if i went to take a piss just now, i would have miss the bus if i stayed back for just that little while more... brainstorming a couple of possibilities.

just as i close my eyes to catch some sleep, a loud rattle emerged from the back of the bus. and guess what, the bus broke down in the most unglam manner. the bus couldnt move and the doors got jammed so all the commuters got stuck inside literially.

luckily the emergency door release button was working fine and we all went down to wait for the next bus. well... what seems to be a lucky encounter turned out to become a frustrating incident.

somehow, a thought struck upon me. somehow, i associated the incident with boy-girl relationship...

sometimes in life, you meet this other person whom seems to be the 'right one' for you. her timely arrival into your life (like the bus service 39 this morning) is so perfect, it seems almost you found the 'right one'.

you hop on the bus and being your journey with the destination in your mind, but, the bus broke down. boo, its unfortunate, but both parties got to carry on in life. you wait for the next bus while the bus has its own destiny. however, you hope the bus will be well after a fix and carry on with its journey.

as for the person at the bus stop...

i am sure the next bus will come again, its just a matter of time.

the blogging stint.

great, the 1st string broke while tuning. so, its time to surf the internet very much like a wandering ghost again.

i am hooked on mr. brown's podcast. his podcast episodes seem to be getting better and better;i like the way he...

1. ventures into the usually nono-zone of singapore (in the form of his persistently non-political podcast. e.g.)

2. discuss certain policies through very clever use of satire.

3. repackages current events with a tinge of humour.

to conclude, everything is presented with such simplicity, its a beauty. he is truely one blogger whom probably relates to singaporeans in the closest manner.

yea, so subscribe to his podcast and you dont have to read the newsapaper. cause the gist of what is happening in singapore's society is all surmised in that 3 minute of audio.

all right, i am off.

*the mr. brown show is best 'listened' with understanding of the hokkien language.

another great video podcast to watch is the G4 daily nut. the content is so-so. BUT the host Olivia Munn is damn hot la.

because love makes the world go round.

yea boy, love makes the world go round.

love for money~...

lets just say 60% of the population. do they actually like the job they are doing everyday? so what makes them go to work everyday? yes, its the salary. well, you may say bitching session with colleagues, lunch time whatever, but lets face it. people work for money. that black dude doesnt labour under the scorching sun because its fun. that china lady doesnt sell her body to filthy singaporean old men because she likes it.

its all for money~...

a society which doesnt define the value of money would never function; as seen by the communist system. people need motivation to work. some motivate themselves with passion, some with personal goals. but most of the time, its the potential reward that drives people to chiong.

think crime, its moslty about money~...

yea, i am off.

good luck brother.

my brother is going on a journey tonight, i would like to bring him good luck.

5 birds please :)

actually, i would probably need 50,000 birds to bring my brother enough good luck because he is blur like a piece of sotong head.

the hidden agenda beyond this birdie visa advertisment is really a reflection of the capitalist structured society.

money = credit card = VISA = power to buy = even good luck.

from my point of view, the people are visa are smarter than those at mastercard. mastercard would probably say...

you cant buy good luck, but for everything els, there is mastercard. *wink in the eye

but the people at visa managed to 'buy good luck'. well, indirectly of course.

whatever it is, good luck my brother. dont get lost in china.

everyone probably knows that i aint a fan of soccer matches. but the world cup still attracts me nevertheless. the reason is...

1.its probably the only time when players come together regardless of clubs.

2.there is no such thing as a transfer market in the world cup. which brings me to my next point...

3.there is no chelsea in the world cup. this is the beauty of the world cup.

the matches i look forward to are probably the england matches, because i know all the members of the team. yea.. but of course they played like a piece of fucking shit yesterday.

yea. thats all i got to say. bye.

oh yar, congrats to my uncle.

your son looks smart, i bet he will be as successful as me next time.

its amazing how infants grow,
how kids progress,
how teens mature,
how adults age,
how people come and go...

i am sure his hands will be as big as mine in no time.
